EN ISO 11612

European standard specifying the minimum requirements for protective clothing designed to protect against heat and flame. This standard applies to garments exposed to radiant heat, convective heat, or molten metal, and is designed to protect the wearer from heat and fire. 

 

The standard´s tests and requirements are divided into several categories, including: flame spread (A - tests the fabric´s ability to resist flames), convective heat (B - measures the time it takes for heat to penetrate the fabric), radiant heat (tests the fabric´s resistance to radiant heat), and molten metal (D and E - tests the fabric´s resistance to splashes of molten metal).
