IEC/EN 61482-2

A standard that specifies requirements and test methods for protective clothing used by workers who may be exposed to electric arcs. The standard focuses on protecting against the thermal hazards of an electric arc, which can cause severe burns and other injuries.

 

IEC 61482-2 is the International standard, and EN 61482-2 is the European standard. Both are equally safe, as they follow the same test protocols and requirements.
